Sony Schedules 16 New Films, Openly Dares Critics With Two ‘Bad Boys’ Sequels

You Are Missed.
Sony has set their slate of films through 2017 (and one for 2019). Some interesting things to note: Chapter one of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower is set for a January 13, 2017 release. Seriously!
Other big films include Edgar Wright’s ‘Baby Driver’, ‘Jumanji’ and ‘The Magnificent Seven’ remakes, the ‘Ghostbusters’ sequel and two, count ‘em, two ‘Bad Boys’.
No work on whether Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are returning. We’re assuming Michael Bay will be to busy prepping his version of ‘Wuthering Heights’ for the big screen to direct, but hope springs eternal.
To further depress you, there’s another ‘Underworld’ film planned. I’m hoping they hire Paul F. Tompkins’s version of Len Wiseman to direct.
On a lighter note, the sci-fi romance film ‘Passengers’ starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt gained ‘The Imitation Game’s Morten Tyldum as a director.
One more thing, get that Nathan Fillon petition going because the ‘Uncharted’ film is set for June 30, 2017. Check out the full list below:
