Feel like dropping us a note and telling us how great we're doing?  Or maybe that we have no idea what the heck we're doing and should shut down the whole thing?   Perhaps just a suggestion or two?

Well, drop us a line and let us know!  Don't be shy.  We can take it.  Especially if it's praise.  We eat that stuff up!

TFR Ep. 243: Boyhood, 5 Best Films Of 1991

Chris Scalzo

This week on The First Run, we finally caught up with Richard Linklater’s ‘Boyhood.  A film 12 years in the making about a boys journey into adulthood.  It’s being called Linklater’s masterpiece and the best film of the year.  Can the film possibly live up to all of the accolades?  Or does it collapse under the weight of its expectations and pretentiousness.  Twelve years to make a move?  LA-ZY.  We’ll review the big releases on Blu-Ray & DVD, featuring Dave’s Streaming Pick of the Week.  Then it’s the return of our annual Best Of’s as we run down the 5 Best Films of 1991, none of them featuring Jean Claude Van Damme.
