This week on The First Run, Chris caught up with the critically adored ‘Spotlight’. The drama concerning the Boston Globe’s reporting on the Catholic Church’s priest scandal. An all star cast tackles the Lumet-esque drama. But is it truly destined for a Best Picture nomination? Then it’s a review of the important releases on Blu-Ray & DVD, featuring the Streaming and Straight To DVD Picks of the Week. The guys move further along with a discussion of ’Slow West’. An atypical western starring Michael Fassbender, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Ben Mendelsohn. After that, it’s the beginning of the Childhood Movie Challenge! Matt and Chris hash out a list of 10 films from their childhood to revisit. Hopefully this doesn’t result in the total destruction of their childhood memories.
