TFR Ep. 367: It, mother!, Casting The ‘It’ Sequel

This week on The First Run, Matt and Chris discuss the big screen adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘It’. Everyone’s favorite demonic clown is here to terrorize the town of Derry, Maine. And hopefully the movie-going public. Does Pennywise, the dancing clown deliver on the scares? Does it deserve its status as the highest grossing horror film of all time (not adjusted for inflation, of course)? Then it’s on to director Darren Aronofsky’s ‘mother!’, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem. Mother! is about a struggling couple dealing with everyday struggling careers, remodeling a house and then some unexpected visitors show up. Except that’s not what its about at all. As always there’s a rundown of the big releases on Blu-Ray & DVD, featuring the Straight To DVD and Streaming Picks of the Week. Then the show wraps with Chris and Matt cast the ‘It’ sequel, a segment that takes an unusual turn.
