TFR Ep. 518: Tenet, The Grifters, 5 Best Christopher Nolan Scenes
Chris Scalzo
This week on The First Run, Chris and Matt make a potentially catastrophic decision to go back to the theaters and watch Christopher Nolan’s ‘Tenet’. Nolan’s not quite time travel, sci-fi spy film is finally here after numerous delays due to Covid and his potentially reckless insistence that it be released in theaters. Granted our hosts did both go see it. So was it worth Matt and Chris potentially risking their lives? (Of course not.). But was it good? Then the Neo-Noir Marathon kicks off with Stephen Frears’ ‘The Grifters’. Angelica Huston, John Cusack, and Annette Bening star in this story of con folks doing whatever they have to to survive. There’s the always entertaining rundown of the big releases on physical media, featuring the Streaming and Straight to DVD Picks of the Week. The show then wraps up with Chris and Matt sharing their 5 Favorite Christopher Nolan Scenes! Which one of your favorites will make the cut, if any! [insert loud Zimmer drum sounds here]
