This week on The First Run, Matt and Chris have three, count ‘em three, movies to discuss. Things start off with Ben Affleck as an autistic accountant/bad ass teaming up with Anna Kendrick, another accountant. But she’s not a dangerous killer. They team up against Jon Bernthal and J.K. Simmons, and other bad guys (sort of) in ‘The Accountant’. Chris then shares his thoughts on Toho’s latest entry in the classic monster franchise, ’Shin Godzilla’. It’s a rundown of all the big releases on Blu-Ray & DVD, featuring the Streaming and Straight To DVD Picks of the Week. Then the horror marathon continues with M. Knight Shyamalan’s ‘The Visit’. You’ll never consider those visits to Nanna and Pop Pop the same again. After that, all the horrible tech issues happen and we lose the final segment. We’re as heartbroken as you. But don’t worry, Chris fills us in on the details. Overall a solid, C+ episode. Enjoy!
